When Communication is Key

I realize that each of these blogs should relate to communication somehow. Most of blogs relate to everyday things and this one isn't any different. I had a long time friend and a close cousin fly in for the holidays. My friend is from Ashville, NC and my cousin from New Jersey. Both wonderful people that haven't let moving away change who they really are. Especially my cousin that has been in NJ for four years. She has a good job and a boyfirend thats loaded and she is still the same old girl, thats refreshing to know. That regardless of the circumstances that we don't forget our roots and the place where we came from. We went out Friday night and went to a crappy little bar to catch up. She said that her favorite bar in NJ was a little Irish Tavern down the street from her house, and shes 30 min. from NYC! I loved to hear that. We talked about everything under the sun, love, life, change, plans later. It was awesome. And then I got the Friend from NC together with my cousin from NJ and we all had a ball together. We got to relate our lives together regardless of the places we lived. I honestly can say I am blessed to have such wonderful people in my life no matter where they live. We all promised to stay connected after all holidays were over and I hope we can each keep that promise. I was so sad to see them go but the night before each one of them boarded the plane I got to laugh and dance and talk and enjoy each of them, so at least they left with a little memory of home and probably a hangover!!
