Governor Palin and Joe Biden met for the first time at this debate. She asked Biden if she could call him Joe from the beginning, which she used against him later in the debate. The first question you could hear Palin's voice shaking, while Biden took the first question like he had been asked it a million times. The first question regarded the bail out and neither one of them actually awnsered the question. Biden did outlay a few of Obama's views regarding who was or will be affected by the bail out and a few points on what the focus should be. Not Biden nor Palin awnsered quite a few questions that were asked, including what they would do or change as the Vice-President. They threw more punches at each others running mates than actually awnsering the issue put forth. They both pulled much out of the past to use against one another, then Palin actually stated how Joe was pointing fingers to the past. It seemed that was how they built there cases against one another, so unless you use past information you have no case! I'm not sure what Palin had lying on her podeum but it must have been informative because she stared at it alot. On the other foot though Biden smiled so much I was sure his face was going to stay like that. As Palin awnsered many questions Biden looked back and forth at the Gwenn, who was asking the questions, and smiled as though he just couldn't believe what he was hearing. A majority of put downs aimed at each others running mates came from how they voted on many issues, such as taxes, education, climate, and alternate energy sources. They fought over the war in Iraq and the wonderful plans thier running mates had to make it all better. Palin kept a nice clean smirk spread across her face most of the time, even as she stared at her podium. Biden had a smug arrogant, I'm more experienced, smile parading his face as she spoke. It seemed that Biden took more inisative to outline plans and procedures while Pain used the same words to express a variety of issues, like we have to "Tap Into" I wanted to do a little more than tapping by the time she was done parading herself. She looked as though she wanted to talk over him when he was saying something she didn't like. But Biden shook his head and smiled smugly as she ranted as well. I think their issues were awnsered for the most part, but just like when they were talking about climate change and were asked how it happened, Palin said she didn't want to talk about how it happened but how to change it, while Biden chimed in that you can't fix the problem if you don't know the cause. This was a sign of Biden's experience, and stupidity on Palin's. She did a good job regardless of what the press has put her through but Biden won for sure. They both seemed like puppets on strings to me.
